Public transport is a critical public good that serves to transport opportunity and jobs into a community. Chris Minns and the Labor government have proven through their endless mishandling of transport strikes and disregard for transport workers, that they cannot be trusted with handling the public transport system in NSW.

• Employer Coverage of Public Transport

Employers will be required to cover all public transport costs for their employees through mandatory rebates provided to a Worker's Opal Card. 

• Paid Commutes

The average Sydneysider will spend 71 minutes a day commuting to and from work. That's around 284 hours a week. That's an enormous amount of time wasted on trips that are essential for daily life. At the same time, Australia is embroiled in a cost of living crisis. Our Paid Commutes policy would require employers to pay 60% of an employee's hourly wage per hour spend commuting.
